Story behind the Picture
I took this picture in August of 2014. It was the first time I got to visit Iran without my parents. I was with three friends from Germany and we were traveling through different cities, one of them being Esfahan. The beauty of Esfahan is that its history stretches many hundreds of years, so the mosques in the city all have different designs. We had a long day behind us when one of my friends approached this mosaic-hole-shaped window to catch some of the breeze. I noticed the strong silhouette and captured this moment.
